Wonderful writing

We are learning to use adjectives in our stories to make them interesting.

" I can do the finger spaces and I learnt how to do my full stops" said Kenan

Using shapes

We are learning to identify basic shapes and make a picture with them.

" It has big circles and little circles for the eyes. It has a red triangle tongue," said Kenan.

My Reading

I am learning to sound out 3 letter words and blend the sounds together to read the word.

"I can robot the sounds to make words.  It helps me to read the word." said Kenan

We are learning to use water and a paint brush to blend our watercolour pastels.  

Dinosaur story

Kenan, you are beginning to write more than two sentences by yourself.  You are now using finger spaces.

"I can use finger spaces in my story all by myself." said Kenan

Counting on from a number to 20

Kenan, you are able to count on from a number up to 20.  You are using the Maths games to help improve your number knowledge.

"I can play snakes and ladders to help me learn." said Kenan

Rhyming cat

We used our rhyming words to make a fat cat with all the rhyming words we could think of.

"I can use our phonic at story writing and reading time to help us make the word right."said Kenan

We are learning to write rhyming strings using our robot hands to help us hear the sounds in words.

Visiting Pakuranga College

As part of our Science Inquiry we went to Pakuranga College. We made slides with our Science buddies and looked at them through the microscopes. 

Fun with Youth Town

Here I am participating in our Youth Town Programme. It’s all about having fun and learning new skills. I am learning to aim and throw at a target. I am concentrating very hard!
